5th Session of the Constitutional Commission`s Territorial Organization Sub-Committee Held

The Constitutional Commission's Territorial Organization Sub-Committee held the fifth session on June 25, 2003, at 11.00 h.


The Constitutional Commission's Territorial Organization Sub-Committee held the fifth session on June 25, 2003, at 11.00 h. Mr. Nenad Canak presided over this session.

The basic principles of territorial organization of the Republic of Serbia were discussed at this session. The following provisions, coincident in Sub-Committee members' proposals, were adopted: provisions concerning the right of citizens to the local self-administration, autonomy and decentralization, determination of the Republic of Serbia as a decentralized state, assignation of activities within a determined capacity as well as both the property and incomes of local self-administrations. Proposals concerning the coincident provisions on territorial organization will be handed over to the Constitutional Commission in order to be considered.
